SenseOn Platform 5.8

Hunt Lab has a new layout that keeps everything you need right beside the editor. The Query Library now sits in a panel on the left next to your query history, so you can find a saved query and open it with a single click instead of working through a separate window. Tables and columns are a click away in a new Tables menu, query parameters sit in a row beneath the query, and errors and warnings are easier to tell apart. The case management panel in Investigate and Experience can now be resized, and administrators get an Enhance your setup banner that points out key features not yet in use.

What's new

A new Hunt Lab layout

Hunt Lab now keeps your library, history and table reference within reach while you write. The Query Library moves out of its pop-up window into an always-visible panel on the left, alongside Query History, and the old right-hand side panel is gone, giving the editor and results more room. You can collapse either section of the left panel, and Hunt Lab remembers which one you had open.

  • Hunt Lab: browse the Query Library as a compact list that loads more as you scroll, filter and sort it from a menu, preview a query's SQL, and open it in a new tab with a single click.
  • Hunt Lab: a new Tables menu in the header shows categories, tables and columns side by side, and search finds matches across both table and column names.
  • Hunt Lab: query parameters appear in a row beneath the query header that you can expand or collapse. Hover over a parameter to highlight everywhere it's used in the query.
  • Cases: drag the edge of the case management panel in Investigate and Experience to make it wider or narrower. Your preferred width is remembered.
  • Overview: administrators see an Enhance your setup banner when key features such as devices, Data Connectors or Log Ingestion aren't in use yet. Mark a feature as not required, or hide the banner, if it doesn't apply to you.

What's improved

  • Hunt Lab: the editor shows errors and warnings in different colours, with a compact summary in the corner of the editor that you can collapse.
  • Hunt Lab: your choice of results per page is kept when you re-run a query.
  • Hunt Lab: large result tables display faster and are quicker to switch between.
