SenseOn Platform 5.7

Getting started with SenseOn is easier in this release. Administrators on a new SenseOn Platform are greeted by a setup guide that walks through each step, from installing the Universal Sensor to configuring Segments, with a link to the right page for each one. New users are asked for their name and job title in a short window when they first sign in, so they can go straight to the Overview. Job titles also appear in the team list, making it easier to see who does what.

Setup guide

When your SenseOn Platform has no devices, integrations or log sources yet, the Overview opens a setup guide for administrators. It shows how many devices, integrations and log sources you have, then walks through installing the Universal Sensor, setting up Data Connectors, adding log sources, and creating and configuring Segments. Each step explains why it matters, links to the relevant documentation, and takes you to the page where you can set it up. You can reopen the guide at any time from the menu in the Overview header.

• Sign-in: the first time you sign in, a short window asks for your name and job title, instead of taking you to your personal settings page.
• User management: set a job title when you edit a user account, and see it in the team list.
